Event details
OA brought our popular Networking Events to Milton Keynes and it's safe to say the room was full of ideas, energy and open conversation. Bringing together professionals from across industries, the session focused on culture, ED&I, personal branding and the upcoming Employment Rights Act — sparking meaningful discussion and sharing practical insight. It set the tone for what our events are all about: creating space for connection, learning, and conversations that add real value beyond recruitment.
Our Group CEO, Laura Clark, opened the session by sharing valuable insight into the importance of culture within a business — not only how to attract top talent, but how to retain it and build teams that thrive long term.
Jo Major delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking session, helping employers and hiring managers recognise where bias, barriers and unhelpful habits can show up throughout the hiring process. More importantly, she shared practical, actionable ways to improve decision-making and create a more inclusive recruitment experience.
OA's Marketing Executive, Paige Leggett, also led an insightful discussion on personal branding and the power of LinkedIn. Her session focused on the value of posting from personal profiles to build stronger connections, increase brand awareness and create more authentic engagement across professional networks.
We were also joined by Reesha Panchal, who provided expert guidance on the upcoming Employment Rights Act, what it means for businesses, and how to prepare for changes ahead.
The event proved to be hugely valuable, bringing together professionals from across the region for open conversation, fresh ideas and practical takeaways. From culture and ED&I to personal branding and Employment Law, attendees left with real insight they could take back into their businesses.
