Our first event was a sold-out success — and the start of something bigger, as we continue to go beyond recruitment. It brought together professionals from across industries to connect, share ideas and explore the topics shaping today's workplace. The focus was clear: community, culture, and the challenges and opportunities businesses are facing right now.
Our Group CEO, Laura Clark, opened the session by sharing valuable insight into the importance of culture within a business — not only how to attract top talent, but how to retain it and build teams that thrive long term.
This was followed by an inspiring talk from Ashley Howard, who spoke about the importance of making individuals feel valued, empowered, and confident in their abilities.
We were also joined by Reesha Panchal, who provided expert guidance on the upcoming Employment Rights Act, what it means for businesses, and how to prepare for changes ahead.
To round off the event, we had a special appearance from Jermain Defoe, who shared reflections from his career in football and the attributes needed to be a strong, effective team player.
